The new chapter one is up! Please let me know if it works as a new opening. Less weird words for people who found it hard to get the first time.
I'm so close to the story that I'm not sure I covered all the information necessary for a first chapter so I would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!

You need a much more obvious link to beginning of story, Newcomers won't realise they have to hunt for earliest date in sidebar
